What do people say?

As he came out of the stable with two pieces of carrot for the rabbits the learner, aged 12, said “I’m practicing fractions!”

“I have been put up a maths group at school and it’s all down to you. This is the only thing that I’ve done differently. I wish I could come here everyday.” Learner, aged 13.

 

One parent said “It was like a cooking programme on TV with the tutor in her kitchen and K here. I’ve become much more confident in K’s ability to cook because of the online sessions with the tutor.”

 

Just to let you know that as far as R and the carers are concerned, today was an unbelievable success!!! R was absolutely buzzing and they said since she went there they haven't seen her so happy. Thank you so much. Alternative Education Coordinator, Academy, Essex.

 

“Happy for you to pass on nothing but positive feedback from me, especially in A’s case! She has engaged hugely with your service which is amazing considering she previously has had such negative thoughts around education which had a knock on effect to her engagement. I feel A absolutely feels comfortable within the EAQ setting and environment, which is testament to you and your staff for making it so welcoming. I get the feeling students do not feel pressurised and there are limited expectations and pressure put on students which allows them to feel comfortable and engage at a pace that suits them - other school settings aren’t able to offer this. I’m so pleased and thankful of the support from EAQ for A, which mum continues to echo. It really shows that AP’s are absolutely what some students need to reengage with education.
